OnePlus 5T comes with metal back; No Wireless Charging

OnePlus 5T is almost here and there’s a lot of leaked info about the new phone. We know the specs that it will pack in as well as the choice of materials that the phone will use. OnePlus 5T has a lot going for it and the fact that you can grab one for under $500 makes it quite a deal!

There’s nothing better out there. And for a company which outsources parts from 3rd party suppliers like Qualcomm, there’s hardly anything you can do.

Also, the OnePlus 5 will have upgraded camera with 20MP+20MP rear camera setup. That is up from 16+20MP setup on the OnePlus 5. Another thing to love about the OnePlus 5T upgrade is the increase in battery capacity from 3300mAh to 3450mAh.

Update: The battery is still at 3300mAh.

But there’s also some sad news for those who were expecting wireless charging on the phone. You don’t get it on the OnePlus 5T. The OnePlus 4R will be stuck with the same metal back housing that we saw earlier on the OnePlus 5. So, that’s quite sad to hear.

So, there’s two thing that is disappointing to me about the OnePlus 5T. One, there is no wireless charging although the CEO of the company says that Dash Charge is so good that they don’t need wireless charging at all. It’s not true in any sense and it makes no sense, at least to me.
