Does Motorola Moto G6 have Wireless Charging & NFC

Let’s get it straight out of the way. Motorola Moto G6 and the entire lineup, the Moto G6 Plus and the Moto G6 Play don’t have wireless charging. Needless to say, the Moto E5, E5 Play and the E5 Plus also lack the wireless charging feature. Does Motorola Moto G6 have Wireless charging of any form? No, it doesn’t. There’s no accessory on offer to make that happen either.

The Motorola Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and the Moto G6 Plus, surprisingly also miss out on NFC. If not wireless charging, we at least expected Near Field communication to make it into the device. The E5, E5 Plus and the E5 Play also miss out on NFC service.

With some of the phone cases for Motorola Moto G6 stating that they will let the phone charge wirelessly even with the case on, I suspected that the phone will have wireless feature. Unfortunately, it is not the case.

Clearly doesn’t have the NFC

I checked the Motorola US website to check the specification of the Motorola Moto G6 and the spec sheet clearly specifies that there is no NFC on board but doesn’t say anything about wireless charging. And as things are, I am pretty sure there’s no wireless charging feature here.

With that out of the way, Motorola Moto G6 is not a bad phone in any way. In fact, it is a solid mid-range phone. With a new 18:9 display, water repellant body and large battery, you certainly can’t go wrong with the Moto G6. Also, the 10W Turbo-Charger is included in the box which makes charging on the go much quicker and more efficient.

Motorola Moto G6 and the Motorola Moto G6 Play are coming to the US later this month. The Moto G6 Plus won’t be available in the United stated, however.
